Department of Mechanical Engineering
The Mechanical Engineering Department established
to focus expertise and leadership to her graduates. Here a strong program
is offered at the undergraduate (4 years B Sc Engineering) and postgraduate
(2 years M Sc Engineering) level aimed at meeting the needs of Industries
and thus contributing to the economic growth of the country. The courses
cover a wide range and include electronics, computing, information processing,
industrial management, control theory etc. as well to cope up with the
today's interdisciplinary demand. The main objective is to prepare graduates
with an international perspective that ensure organizational competitiveness
and growth in a dynamic technological and business environment.
Mechanical Engineering Department was established in 1968. It started
its academic activities through undergraduate program and introduced Master
course in 1999. At present intake is 130 per year. The students graduated
from this department are working inside and outside our country with reputation.
The department has now a faculty strength of 20.
