Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) programme
in Earthquake Engineering [PG. Dip. (EQE)]
For whom is this programme relevant?
A Postgraduate Diploma in Earthquake Engineering (PG. Dip. (EQE)) is a one year course for students who already have a degree in Civil Engineering or relevant subject but wish to pursue further study on Earthquake Engineering and Engineering Seismology. It may also be taken part time in up to three years. The diploma is ideal preparation for postgraduate programmes (21 credits).
What will you learn?
Important elements of the programme include developing a critical understanding of Earthquake Engineering basis; exposure to new methods and techniques; seismic risk analysis, seismic hazard assessment, seismic retrofitting techniques; and engineering seismology.
What is the programme structure?
The Postgraduate diploma programme consists of three distinct blocks.
Block Module |
