Ethical standards for publication exist to ensure high-quality scientific publications, public trust in scientific findings, and that people receive credit for their work and ideas.

Plagiarism

To avoid plagiarism, author should submit the original article and should not use any content without appropriate citation.

Duplicate submission and redundant publication

MERJ considers only original content, i.e. articles that have not been previously published, including in a language other than English. Manuscripts submitted to MERJ must not be submitted elsewhere while under consideration and must be withdrawn before being submitted elsewhere.

Fabrication and falsification

The authors should ensure their submitted manuscripts does not contain any fabricated or falsified results, including the manipulation of images.

Authorship and acknowledgements

All listed authors must ensure their significant scientific contribution to the research in the manuscript, approved its claims, and agreed to be an author. Other than the authors who contributed to the research or manuscript preparation, should be acknowledged with their permission. Authors should acknowledge the source of funding for conducting the research project.

Conflicts of interest

Authors should declare any potential conflicts of interest relating to a specific article.
