I)  Solar Module/Panel and Equipment

Solar modules and inverters are the operational heart of every solar PV system. The solar array consists of connected moules produces DC electricity. The inverter converts the DC electricty of the solar array into maximum usable AC energy and coordinate the efficient and safe operation of the whole system. There are a numbers of key parameters in both the soalar module and inveter required to test before operation.

Name of the parameters

  • Maximum power determination
  • Insulation test.
  • Temperature coefficients.
  • Measurement of NOCT.
  • Performance at STC and NOCT (Normal operation cell temperature).
  • Outdoor exposure test.
  • Hot spot endurance test.
  • Wet leakage current test.
  • Mechanical load test.
  • By-pass diode thermal test.
  • Robustness of termination test.
  • Inverter: Off-grid and grid-tied
