Dr. Md. Golam Hafez currently holds the position of professor in the Department of Mathematics of the Chittagong University of Engineering & Technology, Bangladesh. He visited as a visiting researcher/Scientist at Bharathiar University, Coimbatore, India, on India Science and Research Fellowship (ISRF) of Department of Science & Technology, Government of India. He also visited as a visiting Professor at Periyar University, Salem, India. His academic journey includes the successful completion of a M. Phil. degree in Mathematical Physics from the University of Chittagong, Bangladesh, in 2011, followed by the attainment of a Ph.D. degree in Theoretical Plasma Physics from the University of Rajshahi, Bangladesh, in 2018. Notably, he has maintained a continuous membership with the Bangladesh Mathematical Society since 2009. He received Shaha Moukdum Hall Gold Medal for outstanding result during his Bachelor studies and “Best research award 2019” from Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology. He enlisted in Top 2% Scientists worldwide 2022 and 2023 by Stanford University. His research pursuits encompass a broad spectrum, including plasma physics, mathematical physics, applications of fractional calculus, bifurcation analysis and chaotic motion in dynamical systems, and underscoring his substantial contributions to various facets of the mathematical and physical sciences.
