Our Mission & Vision

The Department of Humanities (HUM) is a multi-disciplinary department as well as a non-degree awarding department in the CUET under the faculty of Architecture and Planning which has started functioning as an allied department in. These fields include popular major subjects like Accounting, Management, Economics, English Literatures and Sociology. Moreover, this department through its ‘English Communication Lab’ is conducting English lab courses to the engineering departments to build the listening, speaking, reading and writing skills of all the students.

The department is committed to provide excellence in holistic education by equipping the undergraduate engineering students with leadership, professional and communication skills to become global engineer.

The mission of the department of Humanities (HUM) is to provide opportunities for the undergraduate engineering students to develop their linguistic competence, accountability, economic excellence, and human morality, social and cultural values in order to contribute to the Sustainable Development of Bangladesh as well as rest of the world.

The department of Humanities has set its goal to impart interdisciplinary knowledge, skills, and values to students in order to contribute to their academic and professional development. The vision of The Department of Humanities is to deliver the learning outcomes specified by the study program and achieve excellence in the fields of higher education by virtue of extensive knowledge on associated subject matter, comprehensive curriculum and consistent enhancement of teaching.
