About Myself

"Amit Imtiaz, a young architecture enthusiast who started his career as an Assistant Architect at Volumezero Limited after his graduation. At the end of 2016, he joined as a lecturer at Chittagong University of Engineering & Technology, from where he graduated as well. Since his graduation period, he has won and participated in numerous national and international architectural competition. His interest in architecture took him to numerous national & international workshops. Few of them was with Peter Stuchbury, Anupama Kundoo, Marina Tabassum & Rafiq Azam. His Graduation thesis project "Breathing Hydrological Infrastructure" has been nominated for Archiprix International Hunter Douglas Award 2017. It is the only nomination for Bangladesh since Archiprix started. In 2017, he worked on a publication on the works of an Indian Architect Titled "Anupama Kundoo: Building Knowledge, Building Community"; published from Germany. From May 25, 2018- June 01, 2018 with the collaboration from Archiprix International & BUET he curated an exhibition titled "Archiprix Exhibition Bangladesh 2018". He was awarded a fully funded Scholarship for attending “AA 360 Summer School” in 2020 by the Architectural Association School of Architecture, London. At that summer school he worked with Lydia Kallipoliti, Assistant Professor, The Irwin S. Chanin School Of Architecture, The Cooper Union, New York, U.S.A. His Unit title was “The Planetary Household: Biocontrol, Microclimates and the Hacking of Domestic Machines”. He has attended Harvard University Graduate School of Design, Summer Peer-Learning Sessions in mid 2020 as well.” He is now teaching as an Assistant Professor and doing his architectural practice from Chittagong, Bangladesh."
