About Myself

Biography:

Dr. Ali is a Professor of Physics at Chittagong University of Engineering & Technology (CUET), Chattogram-4349, Bangladesh. He has completed his B.Sc (Honours), M.Sc., M. Phil., and Ph.D. degrees in Physics with a specialization in Condensed Matter Physics. He is the Principal Investigator of the Advanced Computational Materials Research Laboratory (ACMRL), funded by The World Academy of Sciences (TWAS). His current research focuses on the First-Principles Study of Materials (Computational Materials Science) and the Synthesis and Characterization of Materials (Experimental). He has 79 research publications (mostly in Scopus-indexed journals) with an average impact factor of 2.98 (JCR-2022) published in reputable journals. The impact of his research has been demonstrated in Google Scholar; the total number of citations is 1840+ [h-index-27 and i10-index-47]. Besides, CUET has given him the "Best Research Publication Award" for 2020, 2021 and 2022. He is also serving as a peer reviewer in various reputed international journals (46). In addition, he is also involved in different research projects funded by the TWAS, UGC Bangladesh, MOST, DRE CUET, and Khulna University. Dr. Ali served as the secretary for the 5th international conference hosted by the Physics department at CUET. The conference featured four keynote speakers (three from overseas) and fourteen invited speakers (nine from overseas), with a total of 200 participants in attendance. Among those participants, 20 were from overseas and participated in the conference in person.
