About Myself

Md. Asifur Rahman serves as a Lecturer in the Department of Civil Engineering at Chittagong University of Engineering & Technology (CUET) since July 17, 2022. His core academic pursuit lies within the domain of Civil Engineering, with a particular emphasis on Structural Engineering. His scholarly concerns are firmly rooted in the advancement of concrete technology for the purpose of fostering sustainability in infrastructural development. Currently, his research endeavor focuses on the advancement of lightweight green construction materials.

Mr. Rahman earned his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Chittagong University of Engineering & Technology in the year 2021. Preceding his affiliation as an academician with CUET, he held the position of a Lecturer at Presidency University (PU), Dhaka, spanning the period from September 5, 2021, to February 21, 2022 where he started his career as an academician. Subsequently, he switched to the Department of Civil Engineering at Dhaka University of Engineering & Technology (DUET), Gazipur, where he also served as a Lecturer from February 22, 2022, to July 16, 2022.

Throughout his tenure at DUET, Mr. Rahman actively contributed not only as an academician but also as a prominent member of the Consultancy Research & Testing Services (CRTS), proffering critical testing services to governmental institutions, non-governmental organizations, and diverse private enterprises. Presently, he continues to apply his expertise in testing services as an integral member of the Bureau of Research, Testing, and Consultation (BRTC) at CUET.

At the moment, Mr. Rahman is the academic course coordinator for 2022-2023 Batch; Dept. of CE. Apart from the academic responsibilities, he has also been elected as the Publicity and Social Welfare Secretary for the "CUET Teachers' Association" during the tenure of 2024-2025.
