Institute of Earthquake Engineering Research (IEER) is established in the year of 1999 under the Department of Civil Engineering at Chittagong University of Technology (CUET). The main aim and goal of the center are to promote and provide facilities for advanced studies and research at Undergraduate and Postgraduate levels in the field of Earthquake Engineering and Engineering Seismology and also to conduct training on advanced development in earthquake engineering and to create awareness activities among engineers, architects, planners, policymakers and public on earthquake resistive design & construction in collaboration with local and foreign institutions.
