With the rapid development of science and technology during the last century, chemistry is playing a powerful role to drive the progress of applied sciences, e.g. engineering, medicine and agriculture.  The department of chemistry offers an educational and research experience in the chemical sciences that is rich with challenges and opportunities for undergraduate students of all engineering departments, graduate and postgraduate students. It offers M.Sc, M.Phil. and Ph.D. programs in chemistry where the students may work on natural product chemistry, environmental chemistry, nanochemistry, material science, computational chemistry, biological chemistry, surface science, polymer science, electrochemistry, theoretical researches.
